HEART CHOCOLATE
HEART CHOCOLATE
VISUAL PRODUCTION
Information
The client has requested we showcase a process; something being made, drawn, written or created. But we can't include dialogue. The process we chose is making a hot chocolate.
Ingredients
250ml milk of your choice
1 tbsp cocoa
1 tbsp soft light brown sugar
25g chocolate
1 tbsp squirty cream
Process
Finely chop chocolate bar into pieces and retain one square
Weigh 25g of chocolate using kitchen scales
Measure 250ml of milk
Pour milk into saucepan
Measure 1tbsp of cocoa powder
Drop cocoa into the milk
Scoop 1 tbsp of sugar
Dust sugar into the saucepan
Fire up the hob onto medium heat
Slide saucepan onto heat
Let it simmer until steaming
Whisk the cocoa mixture
Pour into mug
Drop chocolate square inside
Squirt cream on top
Dust with cocoa
Serve
Important: The process doesn't include taking the ingredients out of the cupboards etc. We need to include shots of picking up items out of the cupboards and fridge. This will be included when I write the script and shot list.
Sources of Inspiration
I beleive our process is based on a recipe from BBC Good Foods, linked here.
The Importance of The Process
For our character, making a hot chocolate has been a tiresome task. They aim for perfection and creating the drink is an expression of art.
We want to show as much of this through the camera as possible - by being finely detailed in our depiction of the process and through how we light and direct the scene.
