HEART CHOCOLATE
HEART CHOCOLATE
VISUAL PRODUCTION
Information
This list is supposed to be exhaustive - to ensure we cover as many filming angles as possible. It may result in the footage being longer than 2 minutes, this is something we can cut in the edit.
Symbols are marked in bold.
Each shot is prefaced with a location or distance to the subject (such as WIDE or CLOSE).
Indications of movement are provided as well as subject actions.
Charge equipment
Most booked equipment should be ready to go, but have cables at hand in case they're not
If I decide to use my camera and gimball for any shot, have this charged and ready to use
Clear the set
Pack things into boxes or cupboards that we aren't using
Hide all food, utensils etc apart from the props we need
Set up lighting
Place three lamps to fill the room with the chosen colours
Test out subjects in different areas of the room to ensure the look is how we want it
Adjust lighting in some shots if necessary
Note: Add the shot & sound table from blackboard here for reference.

Created on the morning before the shoot to help visualise what I want us to film. Follows some of the shot list and ideas from experimenting the first day we had the camera equipment booked out. The first 6 slides represent what I'd like to film in our first day of actual filming.
Notes
For recording sound, we can refer to the information, especially in regards to foley, on the slides here.
The z150 is a big camera. It is not going to fit into the side of a fridge door and probably not inside a cupboard. Therefore, we may need to use a smaller camera; either my Sony a6000 with a 16-55mm lens or a smartphone.
This isn't ideal due to the difference in image quality - however, if set with the right manual configuration, we may be able to get the shots we need. We should be able to set the exposure, white balance, shutter and aperture manually with the right app. Any differences can be equalised in post / the colour correction phase.
Davinci Resolve has a feature to automatically match the colour on two different shots if I remeber correctly.
Made before the storyboard and updated shot list.
These videos demonstrate some of the composition and movement I would like to film for Heart Chocolate. On the day, the ceiling light will be off and the scene lit creatively by lamps.
The kitchen hob from different angles
Filming at the same level, from angles looking up and angles looking top-down.
Filming from inside the cupboards and fridge
As stated previously, the z150 may not fit inside here and the lens may not be wide enough. We may need to use my camera or phone as a backup. I should also speak to the clients, Viv or Paul to see if this is allowed.
If we're not allowed and if we actually had a budget, maybe we would build a cupboard without a back to fit the camera behind.
Stop me if you've read this before...
A lot of modern product advertisements show the product connected to the camera following along via a rig.
In replicating this for a bag of flour, for example, let's place a camera inside the cupboard and have the camera follow the bag on it's journey to being placed on the counter top.
